I have a broody hen she went broody January 7th in-14C weather. When I went out to check on her on the 14th she was on another nest And her eggs were frozen. I then separated her into her own coup and gave her a new clutch of eggs.. Is that OK?

She may continue to set the additional time or she may not. Keep an eye on her and have a 'Plan B' in mind just in case she breaks broodiness. Good luck.

The hen is very healthy and young I'm hoping she will stay the course for the extra 7 days .I make sure she gets off her nest every day to eat and drink. Any extra information about how the chicks will be in cold weather would there would be appreciated .Thank you for your reply
