Birds killed by bobcat

Vinegar might kill the mold but bleach should handle most germs. I'd go with the bleach for simplicity although the other product mentioned might work. But if you use vinegar you'll need a second product to kill any nasty germs.

I have Marek's on my property so I use something with a viruicide in it; so far I have been very happy with a product called Odoban, which is sold at many home improvement stores now. Choose a scent you can live with, as it does have a fairly strong odor until it's dry. You can mix it according to the label in the concentration you prefer. I believe it also kills mold spores. Many dog kennels use it and it is safe when used according to directions. I'd suggest budgeting in some time for it to fully dry and air out for at least several hours if not a day or two, before putting your birds back into the cleaned area.

It sounds like great stuff. Sounds like it kills everything... I just dont want that to be my birds... Bleach has been around for a long time. I'm going to pick bleach or odoban. I don't know which is safer... Any thoughts?

Actually I just found this stuff called oxine which is supposedly organic. Has anyone ever used this?

I actually have been researching for hours now... some people including states and university extensions say to use bleach... Now I'm very confused.

I also so some more "earthy" people use peroxide and vinegar...

I want to use whatever is the safest that actually kills most unwanted things.

I've spent hours and hours scraping blood and poop the best I could have. I scrubbed everything but stains are still there. I really would like to disinfect with bleach. I think there may be some mold and would rather fix the issue now. What ratio should I use? I figured I could just spray it on everything and air dry for 2 days... I'd like to get my birds in there asap... They are too big for the garage now.

Thanks

Sorry for your loss- every night I worry about the predators but I do have "motion alarms". on every side of the coop and run. And yes I get up every night to the alarms but it usually is a stray cat, deer walking by, rabbits - so far-
