Birds roosting on brooder

My brooder is built into our coop and the adult birds are using it as a roosting spot. Any suggestions on how to get them to stop?

The best way to prevent it is to create a 45 degree angle to any "topper" which prevents them being able to get a grip -- it may take a little thinking depending on the setup of your coop and brooder.

What does the top of yours look like? The top of my brooder is used as a droppings board.
