Hey, Lovechicks! Welcome to the thread!
You give the name of a chicken.. (Real or imaginary, but most of our main characters are real), and then you type what they say. For example
Daylily: I cannot wait to find out the names of Lovechick's chickens!
Each chicken is typed on a new line so it's easier to read, like a playscript. Actions are done in brackets or in asterisks. Example:
Freesia: *Jumps up and down* New thread chatters!
It can be things that actually happen to your chickens, like snacks they get, or things you make up, like chicken school. Just give the names of your chickens so Bisquick (The thread starter's hen) can "Write it down on her clipboard", and jump right in!

Thank you, I don't have chickens (they are coming this spring) but I will find a name I like

Persephone: I suppose I should tell you my sisters names. There is Hera, the head of the pecking order, Athena, the one who always figures out how to escape or find the best bugs, Artemis, the one who knows all the best roosting places and dust baths, there's me, I like to pick (well, eat) flowers and share them with my sisters, and then there is kymopoleia, she loves ANYTHING to do with water.

Kymopoleia: Why good morning my dear sister! Up for an early morning bath?

Persephone: hello, and for the last time I don't LIKE WATER I AM A PLANT CHICKEN.

Kymopoleia: a simple NO would have been fine. *humph*

Hera: girls girls, be quiet, Artemis is still sleeping and you KNOW how pecky she will get without her beauty sleep

Athena: I'm not making ANY noise Hera....* smiles behind Hera's back*
