For the first time ever I was bitten by a dog yesterday.

For months people here have heard me go on about the neighbor and her inability to control her dogs. We called the cops and had her cited. She just didn't get it. Wednesday the dogs attacked me and my dog again and I called the police - again. She got another citation. ($350)

I have long chats with the police about what she is and is not doing to care for this dog.....

Yesterday the kids and I are walking our trash to the end of our drive. We don't have the car, its me, two kids and our dog (on a leash) the two dogs come after us. They stalk along growling and barking at us util they just take off.

My kids are scared to death and crying, I am furious again because they were back on my property. But, all along I really thought these two dogs were dog aggressive, not people aggressive. So I talk it over with the kids and we decide that we will go over and visit and my daughter can tell the woman that she is afraid of her dogs and we can go over that this is not about me being territorial or mean, it is about being afraid to walk on my own property! And for jimminy crickets the citation was only three days ago! You think she would behave for a day or two!

So, I go over in my car. The front door is open so clearly some one is home. I blow the horn a couple of times and no one comes up. This is where I made my mistake. I still thought the dogs wer dog aggressive. I thought my kids were overreacting somewhat. I got out of the car and the dog started dancing at me aggressively so I backed away from him - still facing him. But, as I turned to get back into my car he bit me.

Hard. It's a major bite, not a play bite or a warning bite. You can count his teeth in the marks. Cop says she still doesn't get it. He said she still keeps complaining about how you used to be able to let your dogs run free in the country.

Call animla control and tell them you have no idea where the dogs came from. I am almost at that point with our neighbors dog too. He is a friendly and cute dog, but he is never gated!!!!!

first I am so sorry this happened to you. Did the dog break the skin if so get to the doctor dog bites can and will get infected really fast also call animal control they need to show that the dog has had it rabies shot. Since the bite happened on her property I am not sure about the law where you live sometimes if a dog bites you on the owners property there isn't much anyone can do. Dog protecting its turf. If these dogs are this mean they could be labeled viscous dogs and could be put down or the owner would have to have special things like being on leash and wearing a muzzle ect. Good luck and I hope they do something about these dogs.

Just saw the picture I would get to the doctor since dog bites can and do get infected so fast. That is a viscous dog and needs to be dealt with

well one morning we woke up to see his dogs attacking my pregnant nanny goat my husband jumped out of bed yelling i have had enough of this. he grabbed our shot gun and shot at the ground near the dog the dog was tearing the ear off my nanny goat and wouldnt let go so my husband shot the dog, the dog ran to the back of our property after he shot him, so we got dressed and went out to look for the dog we couldnt find it. 3 days later @ 7 am on a sunday we woke up to the sound of a deputy knocking on our door,

the cop then starts telling us he was going to sight us for animal cruelty

i showed the deputy my nanny goat with her ear badly torn and the deputy told us we were bad neighbors for shooting the dog that i should have grabbed this 90lb boxer thats agressive and brought him home,

are you joking me i asked? we live in a rural area in texas i have every legal right to protect my live stock!!!!! im sorry we killed his dog, the deputy said you didnt kill it just maimed him i said to bad so sad tell him to pen up his agressive dog and he wont get shot, so i know what your going thru call animal control and demand the dog be quarentined because of rabies threat if he dont care enough to pen them up then he dont care enough to get them shots !!!!!! btw the goat survived and had triplets lol

Wow. We beat a dog with a baseball bat (after the stupid shotgun jammed) and animal control told us we did the right thing. I am sooo glad they have that attitude around here.
