Bizarre looking silkie chick

My black silkie just hatched her latest batch of chicks and one of her chicks is bizarre looking. These are pure silkie chicks.
Father buff rooster and mother is either a black or white silkie hen.

Black skin, black beak, black feet, 5 toes, fuzzy top knot. What do you find bizarre about this little baby? It looks like a silky to me.

Its colouring. Light head dark body. Spots on back and a frosted looking down. I've hatched a few chicks and never seen one look like that.

That's just down feathers. It will probably be a different color when the adult feathers come in.

Down feather color may be dramatically different than mature feather color. What's more is that you crossed 2 different varieties of silkies. That means the result is anybody's guess.

I'm not trying to be flippant but I don't know how people cross breeds and/or varieties and expect some predetermined outcome or are then surprised with what they get.
If one doesn't mate hens and cocks of the same breed and variety, there is no breeding true to the expectation.
