Bizarre Wrinkled Egg!

OK--So today I got an egg that is actually wrinkled. It is hard all over and the wrinkles themselves are hard but it is super weird. Any ideas about why it happened? I have had chickens for about 1 1/2 years and never gotten any like this. So curious!

Someone posted a link to abnormal eggs...try to do a search on there. I've had creases in a few eggs. Looks like a wrinkle in an unmade bed!

I think some of these occur if a hen is disturbed during her laying time.

I have had a wrinkly egg. My chickens were pretty new layers when it happened. I really am not sure what causes it, but it's harmless, I think.

We get them on occasion. The eggs have all eaten just the same.
