Black all over rooster

My rooster has been fine the last few days, eating, drinking and playing. Today I came outside to find his face, comb, and waddles completely rough and black. Does anybody know what this is? I have him isolated from everybody else right now.

We have 4 roosters. He hasnt been fighting that I have seen. Do you think it could be dry pox?

No, that's blood. I second a fight or perhaps an injury from getting caught on something.

looks like the roosters have been fighting to me, unless he really pissed of a hen which is quite common in a maturing cockrel. my 2 year olds kicked the crap out of him for trying to force himself on them

I am going to get a better picture real quick. I tried to clean it up some so it looks wet but it's really just dry and black scabbed over.
