Black Aussies in or near Ohio

I finally got around to placing my order for Black Aussies and BR from Ideal today, only to realize they JUST ran out and wont be available again until May. If only I had done it earlier this week!

Anyone know of another source for black aussies? While I also wanted BR and RIR, the Black Aussies were my priority. I need a place that accomodates small orders.

Chick days at the area feed stores don't start till around April.

There is a hatchery closer then ideal, you can call Meyer hatchery. It is in Polk Ohio. I would give you the web page, but I'm on my phone, and I have can't post web pages. Also you have Mt. Healthy which is in southern Ohio. But they had a samonellia case last year so I don't know if I would order from them.

Just checked Meyer's site and they have plenty of Black Australorps but earliest shipping is April 9.

They also have info on that salmonella thing. I'd order from them, I see no issue now.

Thanks for posting web page. Sometimes you can call them and they may have extras. But you have to call on Monday's. They ship on mondays and Tuesday's.
