Welcome to BYC. Black Australorps are good layers, they also seem to tolerant both hot and cold climates. If you check out the breeds box at the top of the page, you can discover more. Also you can click on the Breed reviews, where folks that have a breed give their views and describe the pros and cons.

how do I post pics?

In my experience, you picked an ideal breed. ;)
All of birds are all part of one massive, unanimously-beloved flock on BYC- and we can't wait to assist in any way possible!
We're glad you're here!!!

Welcome!

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

I also hope the link helps you to share pictures of your flock. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out
