Your welcome , this was him at about 5 weeks its amazing how fast they grow . And when he started play fighting all the others I knew for sure lol

That comb is a lot more than my BA too, makes me feel better about the chance of mine being a pullet.

Did your Australorp pullets stand upright like this one? And are their legs pretty thick compared to other chicks? Those are things that make me think this is a roo besides the fact of early waddles and comb development. I’m so confused about this bird now lol!

Puller my rooster is completely different. He's 14 weeks now, my pulley looks like yours.

Thank you so much for the pictures to compare! Your pullet looks like mine, glad to see that much waddles at 7 weeks makes me feel better! I’m so thankful everyone has chimed in with pictures to help that has changed my mind about trading this bird anytime soon I'm planning on waiting it out now. Looking at pictures of others birds has given me hope that I might actually get eggs from my Australorp!

My Australorp are my faves also. So far, it's hit 96 with 90% humidity are they haven't been panting. The only ones not. They just keep going.

That’s great! I live in north Texas so we’re in the 90s-100 all summer long with high humidity too, good to know yours are heat tolerant.

Oh yeah I know where that is. It’s always hot in Texas!

Pullet. My BA are 4 weeks old. The one male still is mostly a fuzzy butt with minimal tail growth. The girls ALL had tails within the first 2 weeks. His comb was prominent and dark by the second or third week.

I hope your Black Australorp ends up being sweeter than mine I call El Diablo. He is a handsome devil though, and I do mean devil.
