Flying by the seat of my pants!
I actually had to do a good amount of research to find a breeder I trusted. Most people in my area do not have the best intent with their roosters. The gentleman found wanted to be sure I didn't have ill intent either which just made me feel even better about him. This is one of his breeding roosters, he's 35 inches tall.Oooh, the shamo breed has always caught my eye as a fun breed, but its not one that i need, anyway, ok, so would you for sure like to purchase some? and if so, im just gonna warn you that since i do have 2 hens, and it is hot and wet down here, it might take a week or so just to get 6-8.
Im moving to Puerto Rico actually, see my dad started and pastored a Baptist church here in NC for about 13 and 1/2 yrs when he felt the calling of God on him to go to Puerto Rico as a missionary. It does SOUND like a tropical paradise, but it really isn't, it is still damaged from the hurricane, and there is such a great need for Jesus Christ over there.

I have some friends in PR and it's saddening the condition of the place still. I think it's very good of you and your family to go help where it's needed. Truly answering to a higher calling. Thank you.
You bring up a good point about the heat and time to collect... I wouldn't buy any hatching eggs with out the intent to hatch. That being said the O Shamo eggs are expensive at $10 each, and I would have to give them priority if the timelines didn't match up correctly... I'll send you a PM and maybe we can come up with a plan.

No need to fill up your thread with my "Could this, how about this, maybe/I don't know's."
I hope your day is going well so far, and will be in contact privately here soon.
