Black Australorp? Hen or Roo?

Hello Friends! We know it's hard to tell on the roo or hen part but any guesses? We were told hen but we are unsure. We are thinking a Black Australorp but again we aren't sure as we are pretty new to this. We also do not know exact age we are estimating around 7-8 weeks old any thoughts are welcome and appreciated!

Looks a bit like a cockerel to me!

Where was this chick purchased? Appears to be a pullet but not an Australorp. They're known for their dark, almost black eyes

We have no idea where she was purchased. We were given the chick and two ducks for free as the lady could no longer keep them. Thank you for responding

It definitely looks like a boy. That comb is quite red and large for the age. The girls don’t get red till they’re ready to lay.

Looks like a pullet to me (but I’m often wrong so take that for what it’s worth ). I’m not sure what breed, but it doesn’t look like an australorp to me, at least not a pure one. My australorps have almost black eyes, and their legs and feet are all black. Both of the ones in these pics are pullets- I think they were around 5/6 weeks old in these pictures.
