Hey yall!! Let’s play the gender/breed game.
Chicks are labeled 1-9, they are 3 to 4 weeks old (ish). I’d like some gender guesses, plus, a breed guess on a few. Thanks!!

Yes, I know still young, but I know some of you are amazing at spotting the Roos early. We are hoping for one, I suspect we have a few.

Chicks are as listed….
# 1 Black Australorp
# 2 Barnyard mix (?)
# 3 Barnyard mix has 5 toes on each foot, featherless legs. (?)
#4 Silkie (Roo vibes ?)
# 5 Silkie Mix (?) has 5 toes and some leg feathering, but satin feathers
# 6 Silkie (pullet vibes ?)
#7 Black Australorp (Roo based on comb size ?)
# 8 Mille Fleur D’Uccle (hen?)
# 9 Millie Fleur D’Uccle (Roo based on comb color and size ?)

Thanks in advance!!

Bonus points for adult comparisons!! 💜

#1 and #7 I'd almost say roos, although I'd have to see #1 side photo better, could be a toss up. I've found with our two groups of black Australorps that you could definitely tell by comb size. Good luck!
The combs did come up like over night it seems lol. I’m hoping at least one of the two is a pullet, my son would be so upset if we had to choose

#1 is questionable, but leaning cockerel
#7 looks to be a cockerel

My BA rooster is in my profile pic. Great flock manager, but can be hard on the ladies.

I would agree that #4 is looking a bit suspicious. #6 looks like a pullet so far. Gender wise, I think #5 could go either way but it is definitely a mix.
Of course, being silkies, they could look completely different in a few weeks. I suggest waiting a few more weeks.
