Hey yall!!
Chicks are labeled 1-9, they are 2 to 4 weeks old (ish). I’d like some gender guess, plus, a breed guess on a few. Thanks!! Yes, I know still young, but I know some of you are amazing at spotting the Roos early. We are hoping for one, I suspect we have a few.
Chicks are as listed….
# 1 Black Australorp
# 2 Barnyard mix (?)
# 3 Barnyard mix (?)
#4 Silkie (Roo vibes ?)
# 5 Silkie Mix (?) has 5 toes and some leg feathering, but satin feathers
# 6 Silkie (pullet vibes ?)
#7 Black Australorp (Roo based on comb size ?)
# 8 Mille Fleur D’Uccle (hen?)
# 9 Millie Fleur D’Uccle (Roo based on comb color and size ?)

Thanks in advance!!

Bonus points for adult comparisons!! 💜

I'm not much help on anything but silkies but I can tell you Silkies can't be sexed until they crow or lay an egg unless you have them DNA tested. Generally, silkie cockerels will try to crow as early as 3 months, but more commonly 4 to 5 months.

Beautiful chicks!! ❤️

Total guess, not one of the experts!

1, 7, 9 are probably boys. I couldn't tell a silky for sure if it crowed in my face and the rest just look average to me and could go either way.

We are almost certain 9 is a too, which I’d be happy with. Thanks for the reply 💜
