Black Australorp

Here is a picture of her today. I did notice that it did look like the bottom of her feet are pink.

Hi just wondering if any body knew what might look like a black Australorp but the ear lobes are white.i have a hen just like it.i don't know what it is

The one with feathered shanks grew more copper hackle feathers and is laying a dark brown egg. I believe I got lucky and got a Black Copper Maran instead. The other one in the very first picture is still believed to be a australorp.

Not Aussies if they're not clean legged and pure black. Who knows what else, depends on what the seller had. Feather legged and reddish color may be a black copper marans.

Sorry but Black Australorp's have red earlobes. They are still beautiful.

that was so sweet the way you said that! I have noticed a few comments being made about mine because they aren't PERFECT heritage breed or something. Makes you feel like you have some sort of monster or something when you've came attached to your chicks. Anyway just had to comment about how sweet you were about it. They will still lay eggs and stuff and some folks aren't into the SHOWING of their birds.

all three look like Marans from what i can tell. A Blue and 2 black coppers although the one close up pic looks like its laced or something.
