Black chicken from Meyer Hatchery

Can you get a image of her standing? She looks like a (kinda poorly colored) sumatra. She for its the bodytype mine have from what I can see, but usually the chicks have more and brighter yellow too

She does look a lot like my girls, but she does have a larger breast..... could it be a black andalusian?

Thanks for your input. But since the chicks were supposed to come from Meyer Hatchery and they don’t carry that breed I think we can rule out that breed. This is such a fun mystery to figure out! Have a good day!

Meyer does carry andalusians. They come in blue, black, and splash. We got one in a rare mix.

Woah cool! Well that’s positive. Do you have any pictures? I was hoping for hens with higher egg production than the Sumatra.

Do Sumatra bot produce very well normally? I get almost an egg a day from each of my girls unless it's super hot or winter

I’m glad the Sumatra’s are laying well for you! I’m thinking she may be Sumatra because even the black Andalusian will have a “large white earlobe”.
