Ive got one hen with gypsy face but that didn't happen until she was of laying age. At 10 weeks, I wouldn't be alarmed by her lack of wattles. I tagged someone that will likely be able to help.

Yep! It does look exotic! It’s pretty common for birds with birchen or black plumage to have extra pigment in their faces. It is extended to the epidermis of their face and shanks.

My little blue Dutch bantam hen has gypsy face but her comb and wattles are mostly red. There's some fading into the dark, which is interesting. I messaged roostersareawesome whenever I started to notice it. I was a bit worried because she was outside fulltime in a new coop. I was worried that she was getting burned or something. Nope, just gypsy face

She does look to have birchen hackles though so now I suspect that's where her gypsy face is coming from. Thanks amer! I'm learning the colors of Dutch bantams now and believe her color is called something along with the blue. She's a beauty nonetheless. I do hate that the gypsy face is taking over her gorgeous blue earlobes, but she's a pretty girl and one of the sweetest that I own
