I would wait and see. I have 4 BCMs and 2 have yellowish combs like that and 2 have largish reddish combs. The ones with the reddish combs are getting bluish green feathers.

Not necessarily. The first girl in my pics kept me guessing for a while. She's now 19 weeks old, so she'll be laying soon. Here's my pics at the same age.

Hmm... so I've got 50% vote for "wait some more" and 50% for "it's a BOY..."

I guess I'll give it another couple weeks and will probably know for sure by that time.

So sad because this was my ONLY black copper maran to hatch out of this batch and I really wanted a hen...
