I'm going to say cockerel. Here's mine at nearly 9 weeks.

Cockerel at 9 weeks. There are some pretty nice saddle feathers.

I think pullet. The head looks more female than male to me. I have a cuckoo marans though, so it's a slightly different bird I'm comparing to.

At 8 weeks, that is a definite cockerel. I'm not sure that it is a black copper Marans, though. Maybe just black.
