MJ's little flock

Changing the subject: I'm in the market for a new suitcase, check-in sized but not one of the really huge ones. Any recommendations? Durability without paying too much would be great. Good zips. And I prefer hard over soft.
My husband has a Eastpack trolley for many years now, which is good and it was not very expensive. We also have (expensive) Samsonite weekend bags which last forever.
The cheaper brands all got a defects after some years, like a lock that broke. But if you don’t have plans to travel every year it might work for you too.
Clever to check trustpilot.

He literally appears to have had no change in how or what he eats. Now I have never given large slabs of meat that need gnawing - but my guess is he would still have a go if I did.
He eats the same canned food as everyone else and dry kibble and the odd scrap of meat from kitchen leftovers.
He is also still my best mouser and leaves dead mice as gifts for me on the floor.
The vet said he had a gene (apparently common) that causes cats to absorb their own teeth - destroying them from the gum line. Some fall out spontaneously but they can go nasty and rot. So he has had surgery a few times to remove teeth that were causing him pain.
He seems a happy one-fanged cat.
In suitcases I have always used TravelPro wheeled bags. They seem very sturdy. Mine aren’t hard shell, but like all wheelie bags they are rigid frames not like a hold-all that doesn’t have much structure. Mine get a lot of wear and tear and do well.
I have a TravelPro bookmarked.

Nightshade is a bit of legend really, getting on with so much in spite of having only one tooth! Blossom rested more than usual overnight. She's getting a lot of use out or her heated blanket.

The local TK Maxx has a samsonite for a very small price but it's too large for my purposes. I'll keep it in mind.

I wasn't expecting that!

I thought Sarah was too young for laying eggs and that she'd wait until warm weather.

Blossom is recuperating well. So far, she has had every one of her medication doses. She seems a little restful, but she also had two zoomies. She went outside for an hour in the morning and another hour late afternoon. So, on the whole, I'd say she's going well.
