Black Copper Marans chicks' wings--different?

I noticed the wings on my few days old BCM chicks stick out from their bodies. All 5 of them look like this. None of the other 37 chicks of 6 other breeds have wings that point out like this, including Cuckoo Marans. Is this common with BCM? It's cute, not a problem, but I'm curious!

I got 6 laying FBCMs never noticed that before w/ their wings,we just hatched 7 chicks a week ago now that you mentioned, I’ve remember that with my Marans. I def checking the old photos of my layers.

Ok found some photos, the couple of days old photos not showing the wing stick out, the week olds definitely does. Very interesting observation.

Thanks Spartan. I think they look like little penguins. Anxious to see how things unfold! They are just hatchery Marans, but cute little buggers!

My Black Australorps were all like that.
It is adorable and yes very penguin like.
