Black Copper Marans...cockerel?

Black Copper Marans, honestly don't know the age, only had him a couple days, he's no more than 6 weeks....was supposed to be a pullet, but I have my doubts. I'm not super concerned, I'm guaranteed a refund if not a pullet, and he'll have a good home. Just curious if what I think I see is correct. Thanks!

Looks like a girl to me. I have a boy and a girl. Watch out for color on the wing bow.

Is colour on wing bow boy or girl. I have one with a big comb but only copper on neck and chest not wings, 5 weeks. I'm not sure but thought boys have copper wings?

I hope so too. Giant is the sweetest of all my chickens. I hope yours will be too. I call her giant because I thought she was a rooster because she is so big.

Thanks, not a scrap of colour in the wing but a blinking big comb. However I read that Marans female combs can vary between non existent to bigger than a cockerels. It's legs are same size, there's bo bold behaviour at all. I remain cautiously hopeful but also not too hopeful.

Exactly. That’s why I said watch out for color on the wings. Those are the males

My copper marans at 13 weeks. You can see giant in the back. All black. Right now at 9 months she has some copper around the neck
