This male has the wheaten influence going for him, look at the brown soft lower body feathering. He also has the blended Hackle and very little Shank and feet feathering. If none of this bothers you then go for it. Don

Thank you Don for the help! Here is another pic of a different roo.He is worse!

He is her second roo! The chicks have more feathering then the roo! The wheaton will always show up in future? Well darn! I have three pullet and no roo! Back on the waiting list! Going on like three years now! I just want a roo that isn't a freak and kinda follows close to the standard.Dark eggs would be nice!

I am in Oregon and have a bunch growing out that I think will be decent. My birds tend toward too much melanization (too dark, not enough copper) but type is good and I can tell you there is no wheaten influence or recessive white in my line or any DQ's for several years at this point. My nephew is coming to visit 1st week in August from Vancouver, BC and we might be able to arrange transport for one on his way home if you were able to meet somewhere along the I-5 corridor. Message me and we can talk further. I would be happy to post pics of one or two I might be able to send you on here for critiques. First hatches were end of April so they are still pretty young.
