Black Copper Marans discussion thread

SC, With the double mating you mate a pair to produce females and a pair to produce males as it is almost impossible to get good BC Marans from the same mating.
So, for example, breed that over colored male to produce hens with good color, then breed another matchup to hopefully get better colored males. Then take those offspring back to the parents, cross them with each other, or both? I guess that is the point that you really start learning what you are working with

What breeder did you get these young BC from ? They look to have plenty of color going for them, Now just have to wait for them to mature a little.
They are from Feels Right Farm. She has Little Peddler and Greenfire's latest 2015 import. These are directly from those birds, not their offspring.
