8 weeks old and one is trying to crow!

too old, lol. 1 of mine did it at 6 weeks!

Wow! 6 weeks.

We had just processed some roosters last week in order to give the neighbours a bit of a reprieve from the crowing and it is already starting up again!

Cute attempts to crow though.

Is my cuckoo Marans rooster supposed to have feathers on his feet? New to the breed.

oh nooooooo! I'm sorry. We started hearing BCM about 9ish weeks and now alerts the others when we come :/ not sure what we're gonna do yet

Yes your Cuckoo Marans should have feathered legs if it is a french. At least mine all have feathered legs.

Ok, mine doesn't, he is 4 months old and in some sort of a molt, have had him about 3 weeks, not crowing yet.

This is suppose to be a Wheaton pullet I believe it is a Cockerel


This is my FBCM Cockerel or suppose to be. He is getting some copper coloring on his neck


This is a group of a mix of FBC, FW,and Cockoo Marans. They are all about 6 weeks old now and the first time out in the big coop with my EE and Dom. Rooster. Intrested in what everyone thinks.

The English standard is clean legged. So, it depends.

I have a Cockoo Rooster question... He is about 4 months old. A cuckoo Marans rooster. His legs were a slate gray, today when I went to put ice in their water, I noticed that they were almost a flesh color. Is this normal? New to the breed.
