Black Copper Marans discussion thread

Zanna: I know you are talking to Seabreeze and Ayeup but let me just endorse Andy as a person. You will like him... He is super nice, forthcoming and geeky. I have some trading plans with him also.

cute egg. I wouldn't set anything until she has laid six or more. You might get a chick but it might be too puny to make it.

My little guys are still pretty little but for the most part they are really good stock. One of the males will have a bit too much copper I feel but if the one I hope is a pullet is indeed she's going to be rather special I feel. Geebs has seen them. They still have ALOT of growing to do. Especially now that I have them off the feed that I feel was stunting them. Stupid Barley!

Andy is great. He's got a nice set up too. Oh and man you should see his Delaware Roo! That guy is magnificent!

I have sent an email to Andy about the collaberating Aye. I will let you know...or you let me know how to proceed. I say don't throw all the eggs in the same basket... hedge the bets and share the wealth if ya catch my meaning... I think it would be good to stockpile.. in a very real sense... you could be a holding pen for one and I for another source.. We can talk about this more after the weekend. I have a project pen for you... It consists of One large cuckoo hen (lays a SOLID 5) that is super cool.. I mean eye popping. and the two juveniles we spoke of... Let me know when you are ready... I will share eggs from my pen with you.... (shrinky dinks) from my small bc's... you can work on the CC aspect if you like.. (no feathers but lets set some egg color and size first)

I'll back up that honey! That stuff us RIDICULOUS! I'll have to find a way of saving some of the homebrew we made with some of it. It's in secondary right now but all indicators point to a very lovely NW Pale Ale. It was 7.8% last check.

And Andy's stock really is quality. You should get some Dels from him. That Roo is seriously special! He's beautiful and HUGE!
