Black Copper Marans Eggs on eBay

oh Im not buying from him. we are going to get some but dh said he will prob. wait and see what the others turn out to be. to be honest I am about afraid to buy eggs off of ebay. we have not had chickens that long but this is the second time we were burned and then we got burned from a hatchery also. we bought delaware eggs off of ebay about a year ago and just to find out they were columbian rocks. we ordered barred rocks and got black sex link roos. we got barred rock hens but the roos were not. our barred rocks laid real good for about 3 months then stopped and never laid another egg and it has been at least 4 months and no eggs from them. the white rocks did the same thing. and so did the delawares. now my rir's have just about quit laying. the only ones I have laying are my leghorns and 2 ameraucans so we get anywhere for 7 to 12 eggs a day out of 22 birds

I just hatched 11 BCM's out of the 18 I had set originally.

I still have a few in the bator I am giving until morning to do their thing. They all hatched out just great without any help from me. I came home from the movies with little chirps coming out of the hatcher! It is nearly midnight, but tomorrow I will try to post pictures (we all know I stink as a photographer). Goodnight all!

To the person who posted pics of the NOT copper black marans chicks, MAN! that STINKS!!! looks like their cart tipped over and they raked up everything that didn't break and mailed it to you!

All I got was mutt chicks from that hatch. I think everyone of them is a mix from some kind or another.

That is why I tried to tell everyone, not everyone on ebay is honest. he had excellent feedback so I figured I could trust him but found out you really cant trust too many sellers on there.
I did get some brown leghorn and new hampshire reds from a seller Julie on there and I would not hesitate to buy from her again. She has beautiful chicks and great breeders. We bought 24 eggs 23 hatched, that is on shipped eggs . Not bad. they are beautiful birds.

any way just be careful about what you buy.

Mothergoose I am not saying that you are not an honest seller. I would not do that. I hope you have alot of luck on selling your eggs. You have some beautiful birds they look great, I guess I should have been more cautious on buying. If and when I do get some they will come from byc.

You might notice that the top breeders in the country dont need to sell on ebay. If you are seriouse about a breed Join the breed club, do your homework, and talk to breeders that are happy to get you started in the breed. Good breeders do it becasue they love the breed.... its not about the $$.

I've seen Bev Davis sell on Eggbid. What is the difference?
