I bought these chickens from TSC, they said they were Black Copper Marans, is that true?

Nope. Definitely not BCM. He doesn't fit well with any breed I can think of except maybe black Java or black Jersey giant.

I didn't think they were but I didn't know forsure. As chicks they looked like BCM but as they've gotten older, I kept thinking something wasn't right. Thank you!

TSC does not sell BCM they sell English Black Marans from Hoover Hatchery
