An actual update on my birds, and my thoughts on them.

I’ve been having some wry tail trouble with the boys, and am down to one. I don’t like his qualities as much as i did the other males(who all have wry tail), but it is what it is.
The male I’ve ended up with:

As for the females, who haven’t shown the issue, I ended up with 3 and all 3 will stay.

1, above, has droopy wings. Her crest is smaller and more upright, but she has a decent tail- that being that it isn’t pinched. Black under fluff.

2, above, who i think has the best physical traits excluding color. She has a nice rounded crest, holds her wings tight to her body, and has the lowest angled tail, which isn’t pinched(yay). Black under fluff.

3, above, who has the best color. She’s the one I’ve long thought to carry blue, and comparatively, she has light gray- almost white- under fluff. She has a smaller, sort of spiky, crest, but it’s fuller than pullet 1. She has a higher tail angle, and also a small issue of the wing drooping, which seems to come and go, but never as severe as #1.
Extra photos attached of the pullets. I’m still considering everything I can do with these birds. I’ll probably be struggling with tail issues for a while. Worst case scenario, I may outcross the pullets to a silver laced rooster-I would need to buy one- or the gold-based WCB male i already have. Both options would set me back a year or two, as I’d need to backcross the offspring to their mothers for more BCW.
It feels more complicated that I like some of the traits the pullets have, but dislike others. I do look forward to seeing their offspring though.
