Can anyone shed any light on this girl for me? She is black with a fair tail on her and when the sun shines on her she's very green and shiny. Her legs are pale with black feathers on them and she was sold to me as a Black Bantam.

She lays pale beige eggs that are smooth and shiny (they look like they've been buffed!)

From the same person (at the same time) I got what they called a Black&Gold Bantam which I've worked out is a Rhode Rock and what I was told is a Brown Legbar Bantam (I'm not entirely convinced by this one either because I can't see any Brown Legbars on google that look right.)

She's super friendly and loves her eggs! It's very common to find her just sitting in the nest box (not being broody, just sitting!)

Many thanks in advance!

I hadn't heard of those before and have just looked them up after reading your message. They do look very similar but don't appear to have the feathery legs so I wonder if she's part that and part something else. While searching for the Black Sex Links though I came up with this link http://www.mypetchicken.com/catalog/Day-Old-Baby-Chicks/Black-Copper-Marans-p736.aspx What do you reckon? I think she looks just like one of these. Do you know whether they come in Bantam size?
