Black Friday Shopping At Wal Mart

Wouldn't be caught dead in a walmart store on Black Friday. In fact, if I can help it we won't be going to walmart until after the first of the year. Already tired of having Christmas slammed in my face this year.

Who is slamming Christmas in your face? What's going on?

I think what she means is that Walmart already has ALL their Christmas merchandise out and they're playing Christmas music. I almost gagged, myself.

Exactly that. We were in walmart on halloween night. The halloween stuff was already in clearance carts at the front of the store by the registers and they were stocking the shelves with christmas stuff.

IMO, they run Christmas into the ground before thanksgiving.

I have 90% of the presents bought, roughly 75% of them homemade, our freezer and pantry are stocked. Nope, don't need anything at walmart till after January 1st.

I do agree with this. When they put Christmas stuff out with Halloween stuff, and the radio stations started playing Christmas music in October...it takes the specialness (probably not a real word) out of the season.

I will NOT be doing black friday this year... NO WAY!

I will however do a bit of the Small Business Saturday shopping. I need to show I rather my money stay in our community then go back to China!

I did Black Friday once, years ago. A friend and I went to Kohl's because they had some pots/pans on sale and I needed new ones badly. We got our % off scratch off thing going in the door, got the pans, got in line and then spent over an hour waiting to check out and we were there when the place opened and weren't that far back in line. They were way understaffed and were running like TWO registers. Ridiculous. After that mess we tried Target but they were just opening up when we got there and the line was around the building AND parking lot.

Never again.

I did it once. Never again. After the store being open for less than an hour it looked like a tornado passed through. They had a huge display of children's sized sweat pants and sweat shirts and it was a decimated mess. There were a few items left and the ones that were had been flung all over. I refuse to shop with a bunch of rude animals and I refuse to be thought of as one that acts like an animal when shopping.

Oh and most of the super great deals are items that they get a very limited supply of so that just sets the shoppers in the frantic mood that they are going to miss out if they don't push and run to get what they came for. No thanks, nothing is that important to me.
