Black Frizzle am I a pullet or roo?

The only thing is with frizzles how to you know for sure. It has never crowed and never acted like a rooster, acts more like a hen. Never tried to mate with a hen, it makes hen sounds, so I am confused.

If you look at the feathering of the bird it suggests its a cockerel. I have 2 birds that are 6 months old and have never heard them crow. I also have a 7 weeks old frizzle cockerel that started crowing a week ago. This bird may not be crowing or laying yet, but I would for sure agree with everyone that its a cockerel. Very pretty bird non the less.

definately a roo, hens wont lay till 6 mos of age. He looks like he should be crowing in no time usually around 3 mos is when they start

um one of my hens is black and very iridescent, they also turn red right around laying. I'm guessing hen

What breed of frizzle is it? It would help to know that. I think it could be a hen.

It's a cochin frizzle, standard size. It was in the nesting box the other day but did not lay. I don't know it's age, I would think around 6 months.
