Black Jersey Giant or Black Australorp - What are these?

Maybe they were startled by the camera and stood more upright than normal. Because I thought their plumage was thin unless they are young. Here are pics of other "Australorps" that I have seen with thicker plumage. Not from this breeder though... and wondering if the ones from this flock will fill out like these guys. Thanks all for your inputs and tip about the feet. I want to get it right this time!

She seems to look like she has a shorter back and possibly thicker and less lean. she is 6 months in this pic. she is hatchery stock. she has white bottoms on her feet. (just saying)

That's not a very accurate indicator, since some Australorp too have yellow on their feet.

Even hatchery Australorps should never have yellow feet.

Well many of them do.

I dunno if it's really such a bad thing: I know a person who shows Australorps that have yellow soles.

Maybe this deserves it's own thread? It would be interesting for people that show their Australorps in sanctioned shows to speak up about the colors of the soles of the breed's feet. Hmmm...

Only if they are a Cross Breed OR there not a true Australorp..

Black Jersey Giant - Underpart of there feet Yellow
Black Orpington - Underpart of there feet White
Australorp - Underpart of there feet Pinkish White
