i just orderd 7 giant hens and 1 roo just to get going.cant wait to see them grow up.

amy mine are 5wks old at that age is that how old urs is.nice birds . what did u do to ur pen area for predators

yes they r 5 weeks wed, so pretty close! I actually have them in a dog kennel that's also wrapped in chicken wire! the top is covered so no hawks can get in. also there coop is inside the kennel so the feral cats cant get in no matter how hard they try! Did your giants have yellow feet from day 1 or did they turn yellow over time? my birds have pink bottomed feet!! I don't know what is mixed with my giants but obviously they are crossed with something so I think rottnwarrior got lucky with his order from mt. healthy. I just hope they are good sized birds, I have a very hungry family of 5 so scrawny birds don't do well here! I think I have decided to buy all my chickens from the farm swaps as I will be able to see the size, all my hatchery birds seem to be tiny! Also cant wait to order eggs from wynett even if I only hatch 1 giant from her I will be able to breed size in to the flock I already have!!

looks like copper color in urs I think a mix maybe cooper moran mix I have mine rom tractor supply store so far they look good good luck with urs
