Its a typical Wyandotte rose comb. They have a rose bud shape, and are flat, without knobs.

Ok, I see what you're talking about now, yeah they are definitely not pea combs. The rose comb in your picture looks more like ruffles than mine do but the shape is the same.

@Frazzemrat1 is absolutely correct. The hatcheries don't cull for incorrect traits. So incorrect comb type is common.

The reference picture of rose comb was of a cock not a hen. That is why it looks so different than your rose combed Wyandotte. Otherwise same comb just bigger on a male bird.

Pea combs are far smaller and round like a pea.
