This 15 week old chick has had a sore leg that I was treating with antibiotics cream and I wasn’t getting better. But while I was busy looking at her leg I missed the lesions on her body and to my horror she has several of them hidden in her feathers. She has been acting normally

Can you get a photo of all of her?

Hopefully Carol (@azygous ) will chime in, but to me since you are finding these all over the body, you may be dealing with Avian Leukosis.

One might be a feather cyst, but several, to me is something more serious.

What do you feed, including treats?
What breed is she?

The lesion with the raised rim and black scabby center is a squamous skin cancer. I have a rooster that has had one on his leg for several years. https://www.backyardchickens.com/th...e-not-injury-confirmed-to-be-a-tumor.1543307/

These often do not metastasize and the chicken may live a mostly normal life. However, they do grow in size and they can be very painful. I had a hen with one on her back, and I had to euthanize her because it was causing her so much pain.

Since then, I've learned that Serrapeptase https://www.amazon.com/New-Serra-12...d_bap_d_grid_rp_0_1_ec_scp_pd_hp_d_atf_rp_2_i can control the growth of the lesion, and it provides some relief from the pain. I give my rooster one capsule daily.

She is a silkie and I feed her pullet grower, Red hen 17 and Gamebird starter. She gets meal worm, yogurt, brown rice, oat and a few other things for treats
