Recently noticed these black lesions on both sides of my chicken's comb and wondering what is causing it and is it something to be concerned by?

Recently noticed these black lesions on both sides of my chicken's comb and wondering what is causing it and is it something to be concerned by?
My guess is those are peck marks.
