Black Mottled Ancona-Red Leghorn Cross

Pics
@Miami Leghorn these girls are old enough to lay and have the first generation ready to lay, right?
Thank you for asking.
Old enough to lay AND laying already. The Ancona rooster didn't make it past last summer. I'm thinking hawk. Feathers and some tissue outside his run. Devasted, to say the least.
Gotta start from scratch with the rooster.

You'd think as flighty/predator savvy as the Light Mediterranean breeds are a hawk would have a hard time getting one. But the bobcat at my house managed to get a Buttercup, so who knows.

I'm thinking hawk, but who knows? Yes, he was very alert, loud AF. I may be mistaken. But I'm thinking a hawk because at night, the chickens all retire to their coops and we lock the doors. I understand that owls usually hunt at night? Anything that comes in from the ground, my dogs will tear it up. Racoon, possum, etc.
So my next guess if it comes from above during the day in my mind would be a hawk, falcon, etc.
