According to these photos the Orpington is much fluffier. Right???
Almost looks like a Cochin without feathered feet?

Could the Orpingtons in the thread be Australorps instead????

Oh I see! Can someone post some photos of the two breeds (Non-hatchery stock) so I can see the differences?

It's not common to see Black Orpingtons in OK. Australorps are the big draw...so I have never been able to discern between them.

Very nice hen Christina. Yes, I agree that since the Australorp was the original version of the Orpington you see many similarities. You can definitely see the influence of the Cochin breed that was breed into evolment of the breed. Thanks for sharing those pictures both of you.
