Cool! Thank you. Now I have a good idea of what the new chicks eggs will look like. We will have sussex and faverolles eggs this summer. Our bsl will hopefully give us eggs sooner. I didnt know that the faverolles eggs were that dark. As for the Andis, is that short for andalusian? We be getting an Andalusian pullet in April.

I have a hard time between the Favorelles and the Sussex girls with who is laying who. I assumed the pale eggs were the Sussex but maybe I'm backwards. Yes Andi are Andalusians. I would like to raise them but it's slow going to find birds, eggs or otherwise. The light eggs compared to my Austra hen. She gives me beautiful terra cotta eggs every time.

That is Awesome. We probably won't get many white/tinted eggs. We do not have that many white layers. This BSL is our first hybrid. We will have some of our own mutts this year because we do not have a rooster for some of our high production birds to breed pure. Thank you once again for sharing.

Here is Henrietta, my black sex link. Oddly enough, she has a rose comb (also only one wattle!). I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas on what mixture would produce the rose comb (this photo was taken prior to the onset of laying, the rose comb is much more pronounced now).
