strange....i was just coming on here to say that my BSL lays that exact color light brown almost pinkish looking egg. She lays an egg a day! she's a laying machine!!!

So Jolene has started laying! She first laid a soft shell egg while on the roost(we think) two days ago and laid her 1st good egg today! It's a light pink brown egg. Now getting 5 eggs a day!! Only 6 more chickens to start laying!

I have an opportunity to purchase some BSLs, and would love to based on their egg production. The one thing the kind of turns me off about them is that I've read that they can be really noisy. Is this true? As I know that all breeds can be noisy at times, are BSLs noisier that most?

Mine isn't noisy (my BA is noisier then her). I would definitely recommend BSL! They are really friendly and great egg layers.
