I'm very new to chickens. So new that I hatched sex links without realizing it! (yay!)
All the reading here on BYC about BSL's seem to include barred rocks and red roosters. I have heard that wyandottes lay about 3-4 eggs/week. My doms lay about 3-4 eggs/week. Is the laying ability more related to the stock of the parents? Or will "hybrid vigor" factor in? They are the calmest chicks in the brooder. Also the smallest. I will be happy with whatever the lay rate is for these, I'm just pleasantly surprised that I was able to make them. Rose combed sex links! And they're both girls!
Please forgive the newbie question.
