black silkies

I like the cushion placed higher for two reasons a) it gives the appearance of a shorter back b) it adds to the round shape of the bird ... also because of this part of the standard:

"§ Head: Moderately small, short, carried so that a line drawn parallel with tip of the tail will bisect the comb."

And my sire bird, directly from Premier. I dunno, I think he is about 3 years old. He was ugly as a cockerel though.

my black silkies have a little brownish color on their necks. What is that about? They are just pet birds and I want to make a BBS pen, and sell the babies around here for pets, the hatchery around here only has white!

Still yours are looking quite competitive!
 
candle 98 black birds bleach out in the sun when they molt the feathers come back black. or they could have red gene leakage could you post a pic of them
