Black silkies

Happy New Year everyone! I just attended my first poultry show and fell in love with the silkies, particularly the black ones.

I am looking for someone with a black silkie pullet or hen for sale. I live in Houston, TX and am willing to drive a couple of hours for the right bird. Looking for a friendly girl who will make a good pet. I will not be breeding her so she doesn't need to be "show quality" but she does need to be bearded and fluffy and preferably on the large side. Black Silkies are one of my favorite colors. We have a black hen and a black chick that she hatched. The blacks are so much cuter as chicks than my whites are. LOL

I think they're all adorable but the blacks remind me of my old dog, a black Pomeranian. I saw one of them plopped down in her cage sleeping and it looked just like a puppy!

This is my Silkie Girl. Loretta Lynn. She is jet black, the flash makes her look lighter, but she is really dark.

They do exist ( I have 2 pure, jet black Silkie hens) but they are very hard to breed and even harder to buy
