We have two runner ducks called Clever and Wellington and have been getting lots of eggs from them. They started laying at the end of August.

Recently, two of the eggs had black gelatinous blobs in the egg whites. The black blob stuck to inside of the shell. Sorry we didn't get a photo! We researched but found little information. We did not eat these eggs. Is something wrong with my ducks?

thanks for the link @Miss Lydia and ideas @chickens really!

it didn't look like a meat spot. it was a discoloration of ~ 1/8 of the egg white in a blob that stuck to the shell. hopefully it won't happen again but if it does we'll be sure to get a photo.
