Hello all

I have a lovely Bantam named blueberry and she has a few tiny black spots on her comb. She is fine in herself and eating and drinking as usual. Could someone tell me what these spots mean? I will attach a picture.

Thanks

when did you notice this because my chickens get frost bite on their combs in the winter. it should go away soon so no worry's!:D (we put Vaseline as a preventative)

More than likely it's a scab from being pecked at. The end of the comb is a prime picking spot.
Could be a Fowl Pox scab too.

Either way, I would leave them alone. She's eating/drinking/active.
A pecking scab will heal up on it's own and Fowl Pox generally resolves on it's own in several weeks.

Well a black spot came a few months ago and then went and then a couple of days ago this one came. She’s fine in herself so I’m sure it’ll clear up on its own.

Thank you so much :)
