Hey guys! Can somebody give me some feedback if they think this is fowl pox or what it is?!? My hen is acting just fine. She’s happy, eating good, drinking, playful and loves to be held. This started as a black dot or two months ago and seems like it’s progressively gotten worse. As of right now she’s the only hen of my five that has this. She isn’t acting sick. It sure looks like some of the pics of fowl pox and then other pics it looks nothing like. I clean my coop pretty thoroughly on a monthly basis and feeders and waters on a weekly basis. Help!

Thank you everyone! I think thats what it is too. This is so irritating bc they have been to gather since they were a week old and no rooster either! I put some Vetericyn spray and antibiotic ointment on it. Any other suggestions? Does anyone know anything about Blue Kote and would you recommend it?

I would stick with vetericyn over blukote. Blukote only hides the wound and everything it touches is dyed blue.
Vetericyn will help heal the comb.
Do you add extra lighting to make the ladies lay throughout winter?

A fox tore the comb partly off on one of my chicks. The others were attracted to the blood and were pecking her. I used Blue Kote and she healed very quickly
