black spot on the cone of my rooster

I agree with speckled. My chickens get the small, flat black marks on their combs from bumping and banging around, peckings, etc. They heal up just fine. I've seen lots of pics of fowl pox and these small black spots don't look a whole lot like it.

If you could post some pics of the spots on his comb, it would help us to be able to tell you what it probably is.

I agree with speckledhen, though; don't be overly worried until you know it is something serious. It could just be a peck wound all healed up.

Well if he was injured, it could be an internal injury. Any possibility of that?

Alternately, it could be a severe case of cecal worms, or coccidiosis. We'll need more information. In the mean time, I'd get ready to treat for coccidiosis with Corid, and talk to us about whether or not you've wormed him ever?

Otherwise, how did his droppings look? Green and frothy? Normal but with blood? Any mucous sliminess? Runny?

i have started putting merricks electrolyte in thier water he seems to be doing better his poop is white runny but he is walking around now. no i have not worm them yet but i got wazine 7 from rural king .
