Black spots on comb

Can anyone tell me what these black spots are on my RIR Rooster. They appeared within the last 2 or 3 days. I think. He is almost 9 months old.

That happened to my RIR girl a few days ago too, her face was almost completely black! Is your rooster acting normal? My hen was acting okay, and they eventually when away on their own.

He is acting very normal except maybe a bit lethargic I think because of the heat. Heat index has been over 100 for a week now. He still runs around and protects his girls, finds them food, calls for them, and of course does his manly thing.

Looks just like dried blood to me, maybe he nicked his comb on something. Just keep an eye on it. It does not look like fowl pox at this point, IMO.

ohhhh I put a fan out for them. Maybe the fan blades got it. Thank you. I will keep a close eye on him and his girls.
